Aaron provides the technical expertise behind GSP’s first core technology. After receiving a BSc in Physics (First Class Honours) from Imperial College London, he went on to study for his doctorate at University College London (UCL) in Magnetic Resonance Physics, developing novel radio frequency hardware for Arterial Spin Labelling. During this time Aaron produced the first version of a perfusion phantom that lead to the creation of Gold Standard Phantoms.
Following his Ph.D he worked part time as a post-doc at UCL, whilst setting up two companies: Gold Standard Phantoms and Imgenious. Through Imgenious, he has been involved in many projects ranging from designing and manufacturing bespoke MRI compatible equipment to interactive installations.
As Chief Technical Officer, Aaron’s role is to provide the technical vision and oversight for driving forwards GSP’s technologies. He is also very hands-on, and can often be seen soldering circuit boards or machining metal. He is particularly interested in microcontrollers, CNC operated machines, MRI compatibility, and is fascinated with how things work and how things are made. He also enjoys playing guitar and bass.
